Magic of avocado


There’s something about a ripe avocado that makes it so amazing – maybe it’s the purplish-black skin or the buttery-smooth flesh! But the minute you add some onions, tomatoes, green chilli and a dash of lime, it turns into a dish that’s got the potential to knock the socks of any store bought dip! Guacamole is a classic Mexican dip that’s often served with tortilla chips or used as a spread, it does taste heavenly between slices of wholewheat bread along with some grilled chicken for company. 
Here’s how you go about it:
1 ripe avocado, the skin has to be purple-black and it should feel squishy; peel it, remove the stone and mash the pulp
1 large onion, chopped
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
2 tsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
Mash the avocado pulp well with the back of your spoon. Now add the rest of the ingredients, check seasoning, chill and serve as you like.
